Here it is, at least...

By Gerd Riesselmann - Posted on 17 November 2004

Like many others, I am too lazy to cope with a regular web site. Did I say lazy? I meant loaded with work, of course. But - hey! - I'm a software developer. Software developers do have websites, right?

Luckily other software people developed applications to deal with websites easily. Software for people like me. Thanks, folks! Especially the people that did WordPress, the blog software I use. I will pay it back someday. Promised!

Time to introduce myself. My name's Gerd Riesselmann as you may have already guessed. Currently (November 2004) I'm 34 years old, married, no childs, resident in Cologne, Germany. In the background that's me, reading Heinrich Heine's "A Winter's Tale" on a sleepy and cold february morning. Did I mentioned that I'm a software developer? Well, I am, doing business for about six years now.

What else there is to say? I like comic books, fish and riding my bike. I'm interested in social and political theory, and history in special. Unusual for a geek like me, I also studied European and Eastern European History. As a student I worked for a student's magazine, and I still support them in my spare time. If you speak German, you may want to visit the website: www.philtrat.de.

PS: I have a faible for weird or funny signs. The signs taken as kind of logo for this site were spotted on a ferry crossing the Northern Sea. I like the idea of this place beeing both private and a public meeting point.
